Frequently asked questions
General
Yes, you may take your own pictures, or for a small fee, we can use your phone/camera and take pictures for you.
At times, we may have some animals that can be held, such as baby chicks, ducklings, chickens, or rabbits. For everyone's safety, larger animals (cows, pigs, sheep, etc.) may be petted only while they are held by us, on a lead, or from behind a fence.
Occaionally, if an animal is calm and comfortable — or if we are helping a new baby get used to people — we may bring them out for a closer experience.
For safety, we ask that parents closely supervise children and remind them not to run, scream, yell, or chase the animals, as this can startle them. Please understand that we may gently correct behavior if needed to protect both your child and our animals.
We typically host small groups so we can give our full attention to each visit. Larger groups may be accommodated when there are enough adults to supervise children, or when the group is made up of all adults. Group size and ages will be requested at the time of booking to ensure a safe and enjoyable experience. We reserve the right to approve group sizes on a case-by-case basis.
You may wear whatever you are most comfortable in, but do keep in mind this is a farm, with real animals, mud, manure, and uneven ground! Chances are you will step in some or get it on your clothes, because our chickens don't always have the best manners. We recommend wearing closed-toe shoes, rubber boots, or something similar. If available, we offer disposable shoe covers.
For the most part, you can still see the animals, especially the mini cows, because they are in the barn. If for some reason we need to cancel because of weather, or an unforeseen event, either we can reschedule your visit, or give you a refund. Please refer to your invoice for specific weather, cancellation, and rescheduling details.
Please do not use Waze or MapQuest, as they may direct you to the back of our property. We recommend using Google Maps. Upon arrival, drive to the barn on the right with the large “5T” on it. Follow the driveway all the way to the back of the barn, where signage will guide you. Please avoid driving or parking on the grass.
