Vanilla Honey is currently the richest and heaviest whipped lotion we make. It was created for skin that needs more than light everyday moisture, especially skin that appears dry, crepey or less firm than it once did.

Is Vanilla Honey for the Face or the Body?

One of the questions we hear most often is whether our tallow lotions can be used on the face. Vanilla Honey can be used on the:

Because it is so concentrated, you do not need much. For the face, we recommend beginning with approximately four tiny dots—one on the forehead, each cheek and the chin—plus one small dot for the neck.
Warm it between your fingertips and gently press or massage it into clean skin. You can always add a little more, but a small amount truly goes a long way.
Vanilla Honey is available in both 1 oz and 4 oz whipped lotions.
Why We Recommend Vanilla Honey at Night
Vanilla Honey is a richer formula than Helichrysum because its base contains calendula-infused olive oil and Manuka honey.
For that reason, we usually recommend:
Helichrysum during the day for a lighter feel that wears beautifully beneath makeup
Vanilla Honey at night when the skin has time to absorb its deeper moisture while you rest
Vanilla Honey can still be used during the day, especially by someone with very dry skin. But if you prefer a lighter daytime texture, pairing Helichrysum in the morning with Vanilla Honey at night creates what we consider the perfect luxury skincare combination.
What Is Inside Vanilla Honey?
Our Vanilla Honey formula begins with grass-fed, grass-finished tallow, calendula-infused olive oil and Manuka honey. We then add a carefully selected blend of botanicals and essential oils:

That may sound like a long list compared with some of our simpler formulas, but every ingredient has a purpose.
Grass-Fed, Grass-Finished Tallow
Tallow is the foundation of our skincare products. Its fatty-acid profile is similar to the natural oils found in human skin, allowing it to provide rich, lasting moisture without requiring water, artificial preservatives or unnecessary fillers.
Tallow also naturally contains fat-soluble vitamins and helps support the skin’s moisture barrier. In Vanilla Honey, it creates the creamy, deeply conditioning base that makes this formula especially comforting for dry and crepey-looking skin.
Calendula-Infused Olive Oil

Manuka Honey: Our Moisture Magnet
Manuka honey is one of the ingredients that makes the whipped Vanilla Honey formula so special.
Honey is a natural humectant, meaning it attracts and holds moisture. It helps draw moisture toward the skin and reduces the feeling of dryness, leaving the skin looking softer, plumper and more refreshed.
Manuka honey also contains naturally occurring antioxidant compounds and has been widely studied for its unique botanical properties.
Because it helps hold moisture against the skin, customers often notice that dry, crepey-looking areas appear smoother and better conditioned with consistent use.
Because everyone’s skin is different, sensitive skin may prefer Helichrysum nightly and Vanilla Honey just once a week at first; discontinue use if irritation occurs.
Why Manuka Honey Is Not in the Lotion Stick
Our Timeless Glow Lotion Stick provides many of the same botanical ingredients as the whipped lotion, but it does notcontain Manuka honey.
Honey is water-based and does not naturally blend evenly into the oils, butters and waxes needed to create a stable solid stick. Adding it could cause separation, affect the texture and make it much more difficult to keep the formula stable.
The whipped lotion is therefore the choice for customers who specifically want the moisture-attracting qualities of Manuka honey.
The stick is the choice for customers who want a firmer, more heat-stable, mess-free and travel-friendly option.
Frankincense Essential Oil
Frankincense has been used in traditional beauty and wellness practices for thousands of years.
In skincare, it is valued for its warm, grounding aroma and its association with smooth, firm and even-looking skin. Researchers continue studying its naturally occurring compounds for their antioxidant and skin-supporting activity.

Lavender Essential Oil

It is available in 1 oz and 4 oz containers. Because it contains no added waxes, it can soften or melt when exposed to high temperatures. This may change its whipped texture but does not change the product’s quality.

Our Vanilla Honey Soap is made with the same tallow-and-apricot-seed-kernel-oil base used throughout our Simply Made soap collection.
