Baby’s Bum may have been created with little ones in mind, but it has become one of those products the entire family can use.
Babies’ skin is delicate, especially beneath a diaper where warmth and moisture can leave it looking red, uncomfortable or irritated. We wanted to create a simple tallow-based collection that would help protect the skin from moisture while leaving it feeling soft, soothed and comfortable.
Baby’s Bum is available as a whipped tallow lotion, a solid balm stick and tallow soap—including an adorable child-sized Highland cow soap made especially for little hands.
More Than a Product for Babies
Despite the name, Baby’s Bum is not limited to diaper-area care. Customers can use it anywhere skin needs gentle moisture, protection or comfort, including:

What Is Inside Baby’s Bum?
Each product has a slightly different formula based on how it is intended to be used, but the collection is built around thoughtfully selected ingredients.
Grass-Fed, Grass-Finished Tallow
Tallow is the foundation of our Baby’s Bum lotion, balm stick and soap.
Its fatty-acid profile is similar to the natural oils found in human skin, allowing it to provide rich, lasting moisture without requiring water, artificial preservatives or unnecessary fillers. It helps support the skin’s natural moisture barrier and leaves dry, delicate skin feeling soft and conditioned.
Zinc Oxide
Zinc oxide is included in the Baby’s Bum lotion and balm stick to create a gentle layer between the skin and outside moisture.
This makes it especially helpful for areas exposed to dampness, heat, rubbing or friction. It is commonly used in products made for delicate skin because it helps protect and comfort irritated-looking areas.
Shea Butter and Mango Butter
Shea butter adds rich moisture to the whipped lotion and balm stick, while mango butter helps give the stick its smooth, firm consistency.
These butters condition dry skin and help create a protective layer without requiring artificial thickeners.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil helps soften and condition the skin while allowing the lotion and balm to spread smoothly. It also complements the richer tallow and butters, creating a formula that feels nourishing without being unnecessarily complicated.
Beeswax and Castor Oil
Beeswax and castor oil are used in the Baby’s Bum balm stick.
Beeswax gives the stick its solid, more heat-stable structure while helping the product remain on the skin. Castor oil adds glide, allowing the stick to be applied directly without excessive pulling or tugging on delicate skin.
Arrowroot Powder, Kaolin Clay and Zinc Oxide
Arrowroot powder helps absorb excess moisture and reduces the overly greasy feeling that can sometimes come with oil-based products.
The balm stick also contains kaolin clay, which works alongside arrowroot powder and zinc oxide to help manage moisture and create a smooth, protective application.
Lavender Essential Oil
Lavender is included in the Baby’s Bum lotion and balm stick for its soft, calming aroma and its long history of traditional use in products created to soothe and comfort dry, stressed or irritated-looking skin.
The whipped lotion is formulated with only 1% lavender essential oil, keeping the aroma gentle rather than overpowering.
Ylang-Ylang Essential Oil—Only in the Soap
Ylang-ylang is used only in the Baby’s Bum soap. It is not included in the whipped lotion or balm stick.
When ylang-ylang is blended with lavender, it creates a soft, powdery aroma naturally reminiscent of baby powder—without using artificial baby-powder fragrance.
The soap contains only 1% total essential oil. Because it is a rinse-off product, the essential oils have brief contact with the skin before being washed away.

Baby’s Bum Whipped Tallow Lotion
The whipped lotion is the lightest and easiest formula to spread over larger areas. It contains:
Grass-fed, grass-finished tallow
Shea butter
Coconut oil
Zinc oxide
Arrowroot powder
Lavender essential oil
It can be applied wherever the skin needs gentle moisture and comfort. Because it is concentrated, begin with a small amount and add more only if needed.
As a natural whipped product without added waxes, it may soften or melt when exposed to high temperatures. This does not change its quality, but it can change the whipped texture.
Baby’s Bum Balm Stick
The Baby’s Bum balm stick offers a firmer, mess-free way to apply moisture protection directly where it is needed. It contains:
Grass-fed, grass-finished tallow
Mango butter
Shea butter
Beeswax
Castor oil
Coconut oil
Arrowroot powder
Zinc oxide
Kaolin clay
Lavender essential oil
The solid twist-up design is especially convenient for diaper bags, purses and travel - it's TSA friendly! It can be applied directly to the skin, helping keep hands cleaner during application.
Its butters and beeswax also make it more heat-stable than the whipped lotion.
Baby’s Bum Tallow Soap
Our Baby’s Bum soap is made with a tallow-and-apricot-kernel-oil base that produces a firm, long-lasting bar with a rich, creamy lather.
Lavender and ylang-ylang essential oils give the soap its soft, powdery aroma. The blend smells gently reminiscent of baby powder without artificial fragrance.
Baby’s Bum soap is available in two sizes:
A regular full-sized bar for everyday family use
A child-sized Highland cow-shaped bar designed to fit comfortably in little hands
The Highland cow soap is available with either pink or blue wrapping. The pink and blue refer only to the color of the wrapping—the soap itself is not colored pink or blue.
The fun Highland cow shape makes washing more enjoyable for children while giving them a bar that is easier for small hands to hold.
