Our Prickly Pear Tallow "Complexion Balance" Collection was thoughtfully created for sensitive, oily, congested and blemish-prone skin. It combines nourishing tallow with lightweight prickly pear oil, squalane and a carefully selected botanical blend to moisturize without leaving the skin feeling excessively heavy.
The collection has a soft herbal-floral aroma with a clean, earthy finish and includes our whipped tallow lotion, a full-size lotion stick, a small Blemish Repair Targeted Stick and our creamy tallow soap.
What Is Prickly Pear Oil?
Prickly pear oil comes from the tiny seeds inside the fruit of the prickly pear cactus. Extracting oil from those seeds requires a large amount of fruit, which is one reason genuine prickly pear seed oil is considered such a valuable skincare ingredient.
The oil is naturally rich in:

Both!
Although the collection was created with facial skincare and blemish-prone areas in mind, the whipped lotion and full-size lotion stick may also be used on the:

Because these formulas are concentrated, begin with a very small amount. For the face, try approximately four tiny dots—one on the forehead, each cheek and the chin—then gently press or massage the product into clean skin.
You can always add more, but a little truly does go a long way.

Our whipped lotion is the lightest, softest form in the collection. Its base contains:

Prickly pear oil
Squalane
It also contains our botanical blend of tea tree, chamomile, rosemary, frankincense, lavender, helichrysum and geranium.
The whipped texture melts easily into the skin, leaving it soft and comfortably moisturized without the heavier feel of some richer formulas. It is available in both 1 oz and 4 oz containers.
Because it does not contain added waxes, it may soften or melt when exposed to high temperatures. This may change its whipped appearance but does not change the product’s quality.
Prickly Pear "Complexion Balance" 2 oz Lotion Stick
The full-size lotion stick provides similar lightweight, complexion-focused care in a convenient solid form.
It contains:

Mango butter
Shea butter
Beeswax

Our Prickly Pear Soap begins with the same tallow-and-apricot-seed-kernel-oil base used throughout our Simply Made soap collection.
Tallow creates a firm, long-lasting bar with a rich, creamy lather, while apricot kernel oil adds a light conditioning quality.
